Oryx Gaming obtains a "major" UK license milestone
After the licensing of its Oryx Gaming business by the UK Gambling Commission, Bragg Gaming Group has praised the potential "substantial development prospects" that may be felt.
In order to significantly expand its worldwide reach, the company will be able to penetrate "one of the world's most established igaming marketplaces" thanks to the licence approval, which has been hailed as a "major milestone."
With the help of the supplier license that the UKGC granted, Bragg's Oryx business will be able to provide its material to a variety of operators; an initial batch of slots have already been approved for the area.
They include games created by the company's own studio and unique games from Gamomat; the latter are anticipated to start rolling out with operator partners before the year is up.
"The UK online gambling industry is unrivaled in terms of scale and maturity, and the world's biggest operators all have a presence in the jurisdiction," said Chris Looney, chief commercial officer of Bragg Gaming Group.
"Acquiring a UK supplier license presents enormous development prospects for Bragg as we work with regional operator partners to provide top-notch igaming entertainment to UK players.
"This license and our anticipated entry into the UK market before the end of the year will assist to accelerate our trajectory of international growth and presents another proof point of the success we continue to accomplish with the execution of our worldwide market expansion plans," the company said.
According to Bragg, the license is a "essential step" in the company's continuous development plan as it aims to expand its market share in regulated jurisdictions and gain entrance into new ones.
The business anticipates that its efforts to expand its global market will cause its TAM to more than double to more than $18 billion in 2022, with the UK market contributing just under one third of that total.
